Notes
- Brandon scratches tonight including F Tim McGauley (upper body, day-to-day), who was injured in last night's game in Swift Current. D Ryan Pulock (upper body), D Riley Van Horne (healthy), F Tyrel Seaman (upper body) and F Jens Meilleur (lower body) are also out tonight.
- Rene Hunter is in the Wheat Kings' lineup tonight after missing Tuesday's game in Swift Current because of illness. Ryley Lindgren will also play for the Wheat Kings tonight, his third game with the club and second as an AP this month.
- Wheat Kings' G Corbin Boes will surpass the 5,000 mark in minutes played for his WHL career tonight and needs 31 saves to hit the 2,500 mark for his career.
- The Broncos are part of a four-way tie for second-place in the East Division and sixth-place in the Eastern Conference with 25 points (10-12-3-2) while Brandon sits last in the Division and 11th in the Conference with 23 points. The face two points separate six teams in the Eastern Conference emphasizes the fact that even a modest winning streak could thrust the Wheat Kings up the standings in a hurry.
- Eetu Laurikainen will make his 18th straight start in goal for Swift Current tonight. Broncos' GM/Coach Mark Lamb revealed to me before the game that Laurikainen has been invited to tryout for the Finnish team for the World Junior Hockey Championship. He'll head overseas December 10th.
