The Brandon Wheat Kings top two picks in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft are part of Team Pacific's Summer Development roster.
Braylon Shmyr and Tanner Browne are two of the 46 players on the roster and will attend a camp in Calgary from July 24th to 28th.
Eventually, the roster will be pared down to 22 players for the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in December.
Meanwhile, Wheat King prospects Mark Taraschuk, Wade Allison and Kriklan Lycar were amogn the players invited to Team West's summer camp in Portage in August.
In other news from earlier this week...
- Brandon's pre-season schedule includes four games -- September 6 vs Moose Jaw; September 8 at Moose Jaw, September 13 vs. Regina and September 14 at Regina.
- Brandon Wheat Kings' defencemen Ryan Pulock and Eric Roy should be chosen in the first three rounds of Sunday's NHL Draft. That's the opinion of hockey guru Bob McKenzie, who revealed his 2013 draft rankings on TSN last night. McKenzie had Pulock ranked 23rd overall and Roy ranked 70th overall in his rankings. That would put Pulock late in the first round and Roy as an early-to-mid third round pick.
- Pulock guested on CKLQ's Monday Sports Talk earlier this week to talk about the NHL Draft. Here's that discussion with Tyler Crayston and Lanny Stewart...
