Notes
- Brandon's scratches tonight are F Geordie Maguire (illness), F Jack Palmer (upper body), F Tyrel Seaman (suspected concussion) and F Alessio Bertaggia (Swiss Jr. Team).
- Curtis Honey will make a second straight start in goal for the Wheat Kings. Honey is coming off a 24 save effort in Friday's 4-2 victory over Moose Jaw, and will starting back-to-back games for the first time this season.
- Brandon has scored 14 goals over their last three games, thanks in part of improved play from some of their veteran players. Nick Buonassisi and Jason Swyripa are both riding three-game point scoring streak and, along with centre Chad Robinson, are taking some of the scoring pressure off the first-year players.
- Richard Nejezchleb is riding a three-game goal/point scoring streak going into tonight's contest, with four goals and six points in that span.
- The Warriors are without D Morgan Rielley, who headed overseas today along with the rest of the Canadian Junior Team for the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship. Tonight's game is the final one for Moose Jaw before they get a 12-day Christmas break.
