The 24-year old has spent most of the last two months in his hometown, trying to stay as sharp as possible.
The lockout is especially tough on White, who not because he signed his first one-way contract with Montreal back in June but also because he missed all but 20 games during the 2011-2012 season with a sports hernia injury.
White skated with the Brandon Wheat Kings last Friday and I had a chance to catch up to him for a new minutes afterward...
Chaff...Alessio Bertaggia had been named the Brandon Wheat Kings' Tip Top Tailors Player of the Month for November. Bertaggia had five goals and 12 points in nine games last month and currently leads the Wheat Kings in scoring. The 19-year old import will leave Sunday and head overseas for the Swiss Junior Team's training camp. Bertaggia is expected to play for Switzerland at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship.
