Notes
- the Wheat Kings will scratch F Tyrel Seaman (suspected concussion), F Jack Palmer (upper body) and F Alessio Bertaggia (Swiss Jr. Team).
- after back-to-back wins over Moose Jaw, Brandon could move into a tie with Medicine Hat for eighth-place and the final playoff spot in the WHL's Eastern Conference with a victory tonight. That would have been improbable just 10 days ago but three victories in the last four games have helped Brandon move up the standings.
- Curtis Honey stopped 47 of 51 shots over the last two games but will step aside tonight as Corbin Boes starts in goal for Brandon. Boes has had an up-and-down first half but if he can get a solid start under his belt tonight, it might lead to better things in the second half.
- Brandon is 9-1-0-0 when scoring four or more goals so far this season.
- the Raiders still have a sizable lead in the East Division depsitel losing four of their last five games (1-3-0-1). However, Saskatoon's six-game win streak and Prince Albert's slide have tightened things up considerably, with the Blades sitting just six points back.
