Notes
- the Wheat Kings will scratch F Tyrel Seaman (suspected concussion), F Tom McGauley (suspected concussion) and F Jack Palmer (upper body) for tonight's contest. Ryley Lindgren was in action for the Winnipeg Thrashers of the MMHL today so D Riley Van Horne draw into the lineup after being a healthy scratch last night.
- Tonight's game is the first for Wheat Kings' F Chad Robinson against his former team. Robinson was acquired by Brandon from Red Deer on October 22nd for a conditional seventh round pick in the 2014 Bantam Draft. In 19 games with the Wheat Kings, Robinson has four goals, seven points and a minus-five rating.
- Last time we'll get to see Alessio Bertaggia in a Wheat Kings' uniform for about a month. Bertaggia heads overseas tomorrow for the Swiss Junior Team's training camp, and the 19-year old should be part of the Switzerland team for the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship Ufa, Russia. He'll miss 10 - 11 games with the Wheat Kings.
- Some stats from Brandon's current seven-game losing streak -- outscored 33-9 including 11-3 in the first period and 12-0 in the second period. They've scored first in just one of the seven games and 2-for-27 (7.4%) on the power-play.
- Red Deer has won nine straight games since Jesse Wallin was relieved of his coaching duties on November 14th and Brent Sutter stepped back behind the bench. The Rebels have allowed one of fewer goals in eight of the nine contests, with the only exception the 6-5 win against Medicine Hat on November 30th.
- Rebels' goaltender Patrick Bartosak will leave this coming week for the Czech Republic Junior Team's training camp. Bartosak is 9-0 with a 1.20 GAA and .960 SPCT during the Rebels' winning streak.
- Red Deer D Matt Dumba will be at the Canadian Junior Team Selection Camp that begins on Monday.
