Notes
- Brandon scratches tonight are D Kord Pankewicz (healthy), F Richard Nejezchleb (hand, day-to-day) and F Tyrel Seaman (concussion, out for season).
- I've talked a lot about the Wheat Kings starts this season as being an issues. The club has been outscored 84-44 in the first period this season and they enter tonight's game having scored first in 20 of 63 games so far in the regular season, going 9-8-3-0 when they do so. In the WHL so far this season, the team scoring first has won 70.8% of the time (690-456-28-37). Another tell-tale stat -- Brandon has led after the first period eight times (3-3-2-0). A team leading after the first period is 211-42-8-17 in the WHL this season, a .804 winning percentage.
- Corbin Boes recently passed a couple of milestones for his WHL career. Boes surpassed the 3,000 save mark on February 18th in Saskatoon and passed the 6,000 minutes played mark on Sunday in Swift Current.
- The Broncos are led by MVP candidate Adam Lowry, who has 40 goals and 79 points this season. Lowry has been involved in 44.1% of the goals Swift Current has scored this season.
- Eetu Laurikainen is hot in the Swift Current net, posting a 2.15 GAA and .936 SPCT in 12 games so far in February.
