Tyler Yaworski suspended six games by the WHL Tuesday |
The 20-year old was suspended for six games by the Western Hockey League Tuesday for a checking-to-the-head major he was assessed during Saturday's victory over Regina -- a hit the resulted in Regina's Luke Fenske suffering a concussion.
In announcing the decision, the WHL stated that 'the hit resulted in an injury to the opponent' and that 'the player's second suspension this season.'
Yaworski was suspended for three games back earlier this season for another checking-to-the-head major he got in a game in Vancouver on October 24th.
He'll be eligible to return to the Wheat Kings' lineup for a February 18th road game in Saskatoon.
