Notes
- Brandon scratches tonight are D Ryan Pulock (wrist), F Richard Nejezchleb (hand/thumb) and F Tyrel Seaman (concussion). Jayce Hawryluk returns to the Wheat Kings' lineup after missing last night's game in Moose Jaw because of illness.
- Curtis Honey gets his second straight start in goal after making 32 saves in last night's 6-2 victory in Moose Jaw. It's just the second time Honey has started back-to-back games this season. It's also just his fifth start on home-ice this year (his other 13 appearances have been on the road). He is 2-1-1 with a 2.75 GAA and .920 SPCT at home this season.
- One part of a recipe for Wheat Kings` success this season is apparently scoring four or more goals. Brandon is 12-1-0-0 this season when they`ve scored four or more.
- It`s the home debut for D Nick Walters and F Marek Kalus tonight. Both were impressive in their Wheat Kings`debut last night, with Walters have the first three-point game of his career (3 assists, +3) last night in Moose Jaw and Kalus having one assist and finishing the night +2.
- Brandon D Eric Roy`s next game will be the Canadian Hockey League Top Prospects Game in Halifax on Wednesday. I caught up with Roy to talk about playing with Team Cherry at the event. I`ll have that interview for you coming up in our second intermission show tonight.
