Corbin Boes is expected to miss multiple weeks with a lower body injury |
The 19-year old suffered a knee injury Friday in Red Deer and is expected to miss multiple weeks of action.
The injury comes at an inopportune time for Boes, who was just getting his game on track to after an up-and-down first 40 games of the regular season.
Boes was 11-20-2 with a 4.08 goals against average and .889 save percentage this season but had stopped 128 of 135 shots over his past three starts.
Meanwhile, former Wheat King Ayrton Nikkel is expected to miss the rest of the WHL's regular season.
The Everett defenceman suffered ligament damage to a finger during a fight on Saturday night and is expected to be out of the Silvertips' lineup for about two months.
