Notes
- The Wheat Kings will scratch F Jesse Gabrielle (healthy), F Quintin Lisoway (healthy), F Tyrel Seaman (concussion) and F John Quenneville (knee). Rookie F Jayce Hawryluk returns to Brandon's lineup after missing Wednesday's game with a minor injury.
- Maybe Curtis Honey's new nickname should be "Road Warrior" Honey is playing his 33rd game for the Wheat Kings in goal tonight and it's interesting to note that 19 of those 33 games this season have been on the road. Of the 14 he's actually played on home-ice, seven were between January 26th and February 18th -- the period of time that Corbin Boes was out of the lineup because of a knee injury.
- In the race for #1 pick, Brandon will need to sweep Moose Jaw in this home-and-home series in order to avoid finishing anywhere but 12th-place in the Eastern Conference. In order to catch the Warriors, they'll need to do so in regulation and in order to catch Regina, they could just win in extra time and hope the Pats don't generate a point in their final two games of the season against Swift Current.
- Moose Jaw is also playing out the string, but have been slightly better than the Wheat Kings in the past month The Warriors are 5-7-1-0 in their last 13 games and have won three of their last five entering tonight's contest.
- Thompson, Manitoba product Justin Paulic will make his 25th straight start in goal for Moose Jaw tonight. The 17-year old has had a credible rookie seaosn with the Warriors, going 20-24-8 with a 3.22 GAA and .897 SPCT.
