The Brandon Wheat Kings had a balanced attack in a 4-1 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday night.

11 different players hit the scoresheet for the Wheat Kings with Jason Swyripa, Richard Nejezchleb, Jens Meilleur and Colton Waltz scoring the goals for Brandon.

"I thought the offensive output we had was top-to-bottom," said Brandon coach Dwayne Gylywoychuk on CKLQ's post-game show, "I thought all the forward lines contributed, I thought all our D played well and we got rewarded a little bit around the net tonight."

Corbin Boes stopped 25 shots in the Brandon net while Meilleur's goal with 63 seconds left in the second period was the key one for the Wheat Kings.

Meilleur fended off Prince Albert defenceman Dylan Busenius with one arm and shovelled home a shot past Luke Siemens on a highlight reel goal that restored a two-goal lead for the Wheat Kings at 3-1.

"(Cooper) made a great pass to me and I just turned on my wheels and tried to get through the D-Man," said Meilleur, "I tried to get past Busenius, get a step on him and tried to get in front of him and I did and I was lucky enough to put it in the net there."

The victory snapped Brandon's four-game home-ice losing streak and gives the Wheat Kings the opportunity to climb out of last place in the Eastern Conference heading into the final weekend of the Western Hockey League regular season.

Brandon closes out their regular season by visiting Moose Jaw on Friday and will then host the Warriors in their final game on Saturday night.
