The Brandon Wheat Kings are hoping one of their balls drops Wednesday when the Western Hockey League Draft Lottery is conducted in Calgary. The Wheat Kings have four of the 21 balls in the lottery, giving them a 19 per cent chance to winning the lottery and getting the first overall pick in the Bantam Draft on May 2nd.
If Brandon doesn't win the lottery, they could remain in the #3 spot or drop one spot to #4 if one of Moose Jaw or Regina wins the lottery.
That's because a team can only move up two spots by having their ball drop today.
Last-place Vancouver has the best chance at retaining the #1 pick at 57.1 per cent while Prince George has a 23.8 per cent chance to picking #1.
The lottery will be conducted at noon (CDT) Wednesday.
