Notes
- Wheat Kings' co-leading scorer John Quenneville (upper body, day-to-day) misses his first game of the season tonight. Kord Pankewicz (healthy) and Jesse Gabrielle (healthy) are also scratched tonight.
- Quenneville's absence means Quintin Lisoway gets a chance to centre Nejezchleb and Hawryluk, the Wheat Kings' leading goal scorer and co-leading point scorer this season.
- With Quenneville sitting tonight, only F Jens Meilleur, F Chad Robinson and F Richards Bukarts have played in all 41 games this season.
- The Rebels and Wheat Kings have split their season series so far, with each team winning on the road. Red Deer downed Brandon 4-2 on October 5th while the Wheat Kings won 4-3 in Red Deer on December 30th. The two teams have been extremely tight in their season series over the last five years, with Brandon going 9-8-0-1 including a 4-4-0-1 record at home.
- Boissevain product Meyer Nell has one goal and three points in 30 games with the Rebels this season and just returned from playing with Team West at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. He'll be our guest on our pre-game show on 880 CKLQ tonight.
- In case you're wondering, Canadian Junior team coach Brent Sutter has not rejoined the Rebels as of yet.
