Notes
- Kord Pankewicz, Braylon Shmyr and Brett Kitt are the Wheat Kings' scratches for tonight. To my knowledge, all three are healthy scratches.
- The Wheat Kings are winless in four games against Prince Albert so far in 2013-2014 including Friday's 4-3 loss in the first game of this weekend doubleheader. Rihards Bukarts leads Brandon with five points (3 G, 2 A) in four games versus PA. Brandon has gone 2-7-1-0 against Prince Albert the last two years.
- Brandon's power-play has been very good for most of the season, but hasn't been producing as much recently. Over their last six games, Brandon is 4-for-26 (15.4%) in their last six games including a 1-for 14 mark in their last three contest. Meanwhile, the Wheat Kings penalty-kill is 10-for-12 over the last four games.
- A scoring change in Friday's game that saw John Quenneville given the Wheat Kings' third goal spelled an end to big brother Peter's seven-game point scoring streak. That's the longest streak for any Brandon player this season.
- The Wheat Kings will get a much needed break this coming week. Following Saturday's contest, Brandon doesn't play again until Friday (January 17th), when they host the Swift Current Broncos.
