Notes
- John Quenneville (upper body, week-to-week) misses his second straight game for Brandon today with Braylon Shmyr and Kord Pankewicz also scratched.
- Brandon enters Tuesday's game having gone 6-1-1-0 in their last eight contests. The Wheat Kings are one point behind Swift Current for first-place in the WHL's East Division and can take over sole possession of top spot with a victory today.
- Jayce Hawryluk's goalless streak is now at 12 games and counting. The second-year forward hasn't scored since December 10th.
- The Wheat Kings may want to keep an eye on Edmonton F Henrik Samuelsson. In seven career game against Brandon, Samuelsson has eight goals and 15 points. That includes a pair of goals in Edmonton's 5-4 overtime victory on December 31st.
- The Oil Kings have won 11 of their last 12 games, a stretch that started with their New Year's Eve victory over Brandon. The streak, which includes back-to-back wins over Calgary this past weekend, has thrust Edmonton into first-place in the Eastern Conference.
