Notes
- Richard Nejezchleb and Rene Hunter are both scheduled to return to the Wheat Kings' lineup this afternoon after missing Saturday's game with lower and upper body injuries respectively. However, Brandon remains without Jayce Hawryluk (lower body), John Quenneville (upper body) and Rihards Bukarts (upper body).
**UPDATE** Hunter (upper body) was scratched following warmup.
- The Wheat Kings are on a season-high five-game winless streak heading into today's contest. They've scored seven goals in those five games, with their power-play going 1-for-20 after that span. Injuries mean you can't expect Brandon to score at their usual pace, but history tells us that scoring at least four goals will go a long way today. The Wheat Kings are 23-3-3-0 this season when scoring four or more goals (5-20-3-2 when they don't).
- Jordan Papirny has allowed three or fewer goals in 13 of his last 14 starts, and has a 2.24 GAA and .923 SPCT along with a 7-2-2 record since the Christmas break. He'll get the start in goal for Brandon today.
- The Wheat Kings enter the game sitting two points behind the Pats and Swift Current, who are tied for top spot in the WHL's East Division. The Broncos are hosting Prince Albert in one of the other four games in the WHL on Monday.
- The Pats are 6-2-0-1 in their last nine games.
