Notes
- Well, a case of three in and two out for the Brandon Wheat Kings tonight. John Quenneville, Jayce Hawryluk and Kord Pankewicz all return from the injury list but Richard Nejezchleb and Rene Hunter go back on. Brandon will dress 11 forwards and six defencemen, one under the limit.
- Peter Quenneville (lower body) misses his second straight game and is wearing a walking boot, so his return in the immediate future looks doubtful. D Colton Waltz serves the second game of his three-game suspension tonight.
- The Wheat Kings are out to break a seven-game winless streak against one of the WHL's hottest teams in the Calgary Hitmen. The Hitmen have won eight in a row, outscoring their opponents 48-14 in the process. Brady Brassart is leading the way offensively, notching 10 goals and 23 points during an 11-game point streak.
- Brandon forward and Minnedosa product Chad Robinson will play his 250th career WHL game tonight. Robinson has 28 goals and 95 points in a career split between Brandon and the Red Deer Rebels.
- Elkhorn product Travis Sanheim plays his first WHL game back in his home province and brings a four-game point streak (0 G, 10 A) into tonight's game. Sanheim has four goals, 26 points and a +23 rating in 56 games this season.
