Notes
- F Jayce Hawryluk sits Game #2 of a four-game suspension tonight; F Peter Quenneville (lower body) misses his tenth straight game while F Jens Meilleur (lower body) misses his fifth in a row.  Both players are listed as day-to-day.  Kord Pankewicz (healthy) is the final Wheat Kings' scratch.

- As expected, Nolan Patrick makes his WHL debut tonight.  Patrick was the fourth overall pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft and will centre a line between John Quenneville and Jesse Gabrielle.  It's interesting to note that Patrick is a late 1998 birthday, meaning he's the first player in the WHL that's eligible for the 2017 NHL Draft.

- I made this note today - 4 + 3 = 2.  It's a rather odd equation, but the Wheat Kings are 26-4-3-0 when scoring four or more goals this season; 26-4-1-1 when allowing three or fewer goals.  I think the formula for success is pretty apparent considering those records.

- A lot of people are asking about the Wheat Kings' playoff scenario and, because it's a three-team race, it's actually up in the air.  This much is certain -- if Brandon wins their final three games, they'll at least guarantee themselves in a one-game tiebreaker for a playoff spot.

- Interesting matchup tonight is Saskatoon's Nikita Scherbak and Brandon's Rihards Bukarts. Scherbak is the WHL's leading rookie scorer and will win that title, but he and Bukarts are tied for the WHL lead in goals by a rookie with 27 apiece.  Bukarts has six goals and ten points in nine games since his return from a concussion.
