Clague Headed Home

Kale Clague
It appears Kale Clague's tenure with the Brandon Wheat Kings has come to an end.

Clague indicated via twitter on Sunday morning that he's heading home to Lloydminster, where he's expected to play with the Alberta Midget Hockey League's Bobcats this season.

Clague went pointless and had an even plus/minus rating in the Wheat Kings' season-opening sweep of a home-and-home series with the Moose Jaw Warriors after scoring two goals and five points in four pre-season games with Brandon.

The 15-year old, who was the sixth overall pick in the 2013 Bantam Draft, didn't look out of place.  Looking forward to seeing him on a full-time basis in 2014-2015.

Clague's departure would leave the Wheat Kings with 27 players on their roster -- 16 forwards, nine defencemen and two goaltenders.

One of those nine blueliners is captain Ryan Pulock, who remains with the NHL's New York Islanders.
