- News from NHL Camps.  The St. Louis Blues have assigned defenceman Nick Walters back to the Brandon Wheat Kings.  He should arrive back in Brandon this weekend.  Eric Roy hasn't been skating at the Calgary Flames' training camp because of an abdominal wall strain.  Ryan Pulock remains at the New York Islanders camp.

- Wheat Kings' prospects Nolan Patrick, Tanner Kaspick, Ty Lewis, Dylan Thiessen and Linden McCorrister were among the 22 players named to Team Manitoba for the Western Canadian Under-16 Challenge Cup.  That group are five of the 13 forwards named to the team.  The Challenge Cup takes place in Calgary from October 31st to November 3rd.

- Among those in the lineup for the Regina Pats tonight are former Wheat King Geordie Maguire and Russell product Rylee Zimmer.  Maguire is sporting a scar above his left eye from a cut that occurred during training camp.  I had a chance to talk to Zimmer prior to the game, and will have that interview on the CKLQ pre-game show tonight.

- Fun little note. This is Braylon Shmyr's third pre-season game, and he'll wear his third different number.  Last Friday, we wore #13. Sunday in Moose Jaw, it was #14 and, tonight, it's #22.
