Wheat Kings' Roster Reduced by One

  The Brandon Wheat Kings' pre-season roster was reduced by one Monday with word that 17-year old forward Liam Gregor had left the team on his own accord.

  Gregor was a tenth round pick in the 2011 bantam draft and was one of 11 rookie forwards on the roster when training camp concluded on Sunday.

  His departure leaves Brandon with 34 players -- 21 forwards, 11 defencemen and two goaltenders.

  The Wheat Kings' first pre-season game is Friday when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors.
