Moodie was particularly sharp in stopping all 26 shots he faced during the first 40 minutes while the Blades built a lead by scoring all three of their goals in a five minute and 21 second span of the second period.
Brett Stovin scored a pair of even-strength goals just 2:38 apart and Nathan Burns added a power-play goal marker just past the midway mark of the middle frame.
The Blades' spurt told only part of the story for Brandon, however, with their ability to capitalize offensively being another major factor.
"We had a lot of chances on goal, and they buried their chances and we didn't," said Brandon centre John Quenneville on CKLQ's post-game show, "If we want to win hockey games, we have to put the puck in the net."

Despite the 40-plus shots, the Wheat Kings' chances were a lot of the one-and-done variety, a theme that doesn't always lead to goals.
"Moodie was kicking out some big rebounds and it just seemed like we were a step behind in getting there," added Quenneville, "You're not going to score all pretty goals, you need to go to the net and that's how you're going to score consistently."
The loss dropped Brandon back below the .500 mark at 9-10-0-0 on the season.
The Wheat Kings are right back at it Friday night when the entertain the Swift Current Broncos (7:30 p.m., Westman Communications Group Place).
