Notes
- defencmen Eric Roy (leg) will take warmup tonight before it'll be determined whether he'll be in the Wheat Kings' lineup. Roy took a shot off the outside of his knee during the second period of Monday's victory over Lethbridge and did not return. He sat out practice yesterday and is considered day-to-day.
- F Jesse Gabrielle, F Brett Kitt and F Braylon Shmyr are all healthy scratches for Brandon. I assume Kord Pankewicz would join them if Roy is able to play. Goaltender Curtis Honey (upper body) is missing his sixth straight game so Jordan Papirny makes his sixth straight start for Brandon.
- Brandon went 2-for-4 on the power-play against Lethbridge on Monday and are 7-for-19 (36.8%) over their last five games. A couple of other interesting stats to keep in mind. Brandon is 8-2-0-0 this season when scoring first, and 7-1-0-0 when scoring four or more goals.
- former Wheat King Ayrton Nikkel returned to Saskatoon's lineup in their 4-1 loss to Prince Albert last night. He had missed seven games with an upper body injury.
- It's only Game #22, but an important one for Brandon. The Wheat Kings could leapfrog the Blades and move into 8th-place in the Eastern Conference with a victory while also moving back to the .500 mark (11-11-0-0) on the season.
