- Plenty of lineup changes for Brandon with defenceman Taylor Green and forwards Jack Palmer and Quintin Lisoway banged up in last night;s victory over Moose Jaw.  That trio are all scratched tonight along with F Tyler Coulter (healthy) and D Dominic Thom (healthy).

- This is the final game of a five-game home stand for Brandon, during which the Wheat Kings are 3-1-0-0.  Brandon led 1-0 after the first period in Friday's 3-2 shootout victory over Moose Jaw, signifying the Wheat Kings first first period goal of the home stand.  Overall, the Wheat Kings have been outscored 9-4 in the first period so far this season but have scored 17 goals in the second period.

- Brandon's special teams have been good on this home stand, with the power-play 8-for-25 (32.0%) and the penalty-kill 16-for-19 (84.2%).

- Tonight's game marks the first time Ayrton Nikkel will play against Brandon since the Wheat Kings traded him to Everett at last January's WHL trade deadline.  He played just seven games with the Silvertips before suffering a thumb injury that caused him to miss the final two months of the 2012-2013 season.  Nikkel was then acquired by Saskatoon along with a fifth round pick in the 2015 Bantam Draft on July 3rd for defenceman Matt Pufahl.  Nikkel has one goal, three points and a -1 rating with Saskatoon this season while also accumulating 20 penalty minutes.  He leads the Blades with a pair of fighting majors.  Nikkel will be my guest during the second intermission show tonight.

- The Blades are coming off a 2-1 home-ice victory over the Swift Current Broncos on Friday.  In that contest, Nathan Burns scored the game-winning goal with 5:18 left in the third period while Alex Moodie stopped 29 shots in the Saskatoon net.  Moodie will get the start again tonight for Saskatoon.
