Notes:
- Brandon F Tim McGauley was a game-time decision after leaving Friday's game in Spokane with an upper body injury, but is playing tonight.  Brandon will scratch D Kord Pankewicz, F Tyler Coulter, F Brett Kitt and F Jesse Gabrielle.

- The Wheat Kings are looking to bounce from their most lopsided loss of the season, the 7-1 setback in Spokane on Friday night.  If recent history means anything, they could so exactly that.  Prior to Friday's loss, Brandon's most lopsided loss was the 5-1 setback in Regina on Thanksgiving Monday.  The team bounced back to win the next two games including a 3-2 overtime victory in Moose Jaw their next time out.

- Saturday's game is the only meeting of the 2013-2014 regular season for Tri-City and Brandon. Last year, the Americans won the only game between the two teams, prevailing by a 4-3 score in Brandon on October 13, 2012.  In that contest, Alessio Bertaggia had two goals and an assist for Brandon.  The Wheat Kings last visit to Kennewick came on October 14, 2011 with Ryan Pulock scoring twice in a 3-2 Brandon victory.  The Wheat Kings are 2-3-0-0 against Tri-City the last five seasons, 1-1-0-0 at the Toyota Center.

- At one time, the Tri-City Americans were Manitoba-west, boasting double digit Manitoba-born players on their roster.  Now, that number has dwindled to just two on this year's team -- defenceman Justin Hamonic and rookie forward Braden Purtill.

- Winnipeg Jets' draft pick Eric Comrie has bounced back nicely after season-ending hip surgery last January.  Comrie, who was the 59th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, is 6-7-1 so far this season with a 2.72 GAA and .922 SPCT.
