Notes:
- Brandon will scratch D Kord Pankewicz and F's Tyler Coulter, Brett Kitt and Braylon Shmyr tonight, although will take the pre-game warmup.  All four Wheat Kings' scratches are healthy.

- The Wheat Kings got a pair of skates in in Spokane prior to tonight's game, practicing Thursday at the Spokane Arena and then having a game-day skate earlier today.  That should be enough ice-time for the team to get over the bus legs of the 18-hour trip from Brandon to Spokane.

- Second-year forward John Quenneville currently leads Brandon in scoring with 13 points (7 G, 6 A) and has points in seven of the last eight games (5 G, 6 A).  Taylor Cooper takes a three-game point streak (2 G, 2 A) into tonight's game while F Jayce Hawryluk has eight points (3 G, 5 A) in the last eight games.

- Brandon went 2-for-3 on the power-play their last time out Saturday in their 6-3 victory over Medicine Hat after being 1-for-11 in their previous three games.  It's been quite a contrast, however, for the Wheat Kings at home and on the road with the man advantage.  They operate at a 30.6% success rate at home, and only 12.5% on the road.

- Fiday’s game will be the only meeting of the 2013-2014 regular season between Spokane and Brandon.  The Chiefs won the only contest between the two teams last season, downing the Wheat Kings 5-2 in Brandon on December 7, 2012.  Jayce Hawryluk and John Quenneville scored the goals for Brandon in that contest.  The Wheat Kings last visit to Spokane was on October 12, 2011 with the Chiefs scoring the game’s last three goals in a 4-3 victory.  Brandon is 3-2-0-0 against the Chiefs the last five seasons including a 1-1-0-0 mark in Spokane.
