Notes
- Brandon scratches tonight will include F Jack Palmer (upper body, day-to-day), F Tyler Coulter (healthy), D Kord Pankewicz (healthy) and D Domonic Thom (healthy). One of Jesse Gabrielle and Braylon Shmyr will complete the scratch list.
- As you can see above, the Wheat Kings have tweaked their lines slightly from the ones we've seen for most of their ten regular season games to date. Brandon GM/Coach Kelly McCrimmon told me on the pre-game show that they'll see how to works, but also mentioned that if they needed to, they could return to those usual line combinations and feel confident about doing so.
- Brandon defenceman Eric Roy will play the 200th game of his WHL career tonight. Roy has 33 goals, 120 points and a -18 rating during his Wheat Kings' career. He's the second of three Wheat Kings that'll hit the 200-game plateau this week. Ryan Pulock played his 200th game Monday while Chad Robinson will play his 199th career game tonight.
- Speaking of Chad Robinson, we'll be auctioning off Chad's soon-to-be game worn Pink Jersey during tonight's broadcast on 880 CKLQ. I talked to Chad prior to the game, and he mentioned two people from the Yellowhead Chiefs' organization that were close to him who have or are affected by cancer. Long-time Chiefs' equipment manager Don Citulski lost his battle with cancer last spring while Robinson's former Yellowhead coach Garth Mitchell is currently battling the disease.
- The Warriors enter Wednesday's game on a four-game losing streak including a pair of shootout losses. One of those was Friday's 3-2 setback in Brandon. This is the fourth of eight meetings between Moose Jaw and Brandon for the 2013-2014 regular season.
