Notes
- Defenceman Taylor Green and centre Quintin Lisoway, who both missed Saturday's loss to Saskatoon with minor injuries, are back in Brandon's lineup for today's tilt. F Jack Palmer (upper body) misses his second straight game after being injured Friday while F Brett Kitt, F Braylon Shmyr, D Kord Pankewicz and D Dominic Thom are healthy scratches.
- Today's game is the 200th in the career of Brandon captain Ryan Pulock. Pulock has 43 goals, 154 points and a +26 rating in his WHL career and is the first of three Wheat Kings who'll be hitting the 200 game plateau in the next week. Eric Roy is playing his 199th career game today while Chad Robinson is playing #198.
- F John Quenneville takes a five-game point streak (4 G, 3 A) into today's contest while F Jayce Hawryluk has points in three straight and four of the last five games (2 G, 4 A). At the other end of the spectrum, the line of Taylor Cooper, Quintin Lisoway and Jens Meilleur haven't produced a point since the opening weekend of the WHL regular season.
- Russell product Rylee Zimmer, 16, remains with Regina and will play his sixth game of the season today. A fifth round pick of the Pats in the 2012 Bantam Draft, Zimmer is pointless with a -1 rating so far this season. Former Wheat King Geordie Maguire is a healthy scratch for the third straight game today.
- Regina's Boston Leier has six goals and seven points in four games since being acquired from Medicine Hat while Morgan Klimchuk (4 G, 8 A) and Chandler Stephenson (5 G, 5 A) are both riding eight-game point streaks going into today's contest.
